(13 May 2024) THE-GLOW teaching team has developed a course namely, "Gender and climate change intersections: a transdiciplinary approach (4-14 June 2024)" and it has one-day field trip to 'Bang Kachao' Island, a hidden oasis in urban area located in southern part of Bangkok city. The teaching team members from KU (Ajarn Anchna, Ajarn, Chris), TU (Ajarn Li), and AIT (Ajarn Philippe) pre-visited the field sites to prepare the student's activities in 3 places:

1) Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market,

2) Stingless bee farm, and

3) firefly eco-tourism site.

By visiting the local communities, each student group will interview the people to observe their life style, adaptation, and community activities to solve any kinds of real-world problems related with climate change, gender, agriculture, and health. All the students planned to visit the Island dated on 8 (Sat.) June 2024.

The highligh for the teaching team was, visiting 'firefly eco-tourism sites' experiencing special moment in the Urban environment! Here, feel the 'Christmas decoration like fireflies flashing in the dark Island' (ft. Ajarn Anchana).

Interesting part of the two different ecosystems was the highly contrast views. See the dark Island compare to the other side of shining Bangkok city view! (ft. speed boat!)

This is only a small part of the course. Stay tunned for the actual visitings with the student groups very soon!

[THE-GLOW] A new course opening!!!
