[MOU] Real-Ento and Earth Care Ghana (13 Nov. 2025)

Kasetsart University’s Real-Ento Signs MOU with Earth Care Ghana to Strengthen Transcontinental Collaboration in Sustainable Agriculture and Entomology On November 13, 2025, the Research and Lifelong Learning Center for Urban and Environmental Entomology (Real-Ento), Kasetsart University, held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Earth Care Ghana , marking the beginning of a strategic partnership between Thailand and Ghana in the fields of sustainable agriculture, medical entomology, and environmental innovation. The ceremony was led by Professor Theeraphap Chareonviriyaphap , Director of Real-Ento, and Mr. Kwame Appiah Kubi , Founder and Executive Director of Earth Care Ghana. Faculty members from Kasetsart University and representatives from Earth Care Ghana witnessed the signing, followed by an exchange of souvenirs and group photos to commemorate the partnership. This collaboration aims to: Integrate beekeeping into cocoa farming to enhance agricultural sustainability. Establish a Bee Training Center in Ghana to empower local youth and promote green jobs. Provide scholarships for students from cocoa farming families to study at Kasetsart University. Promote sustainable agriculture aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Foster research and knowledge exchange in medical entomology and mosquito vector management. During the event, Assistant Professor Jirod Nararak , Department of Entomology, demonstrated a new mosquito repellent sticker technology developed at Kasetsart University, showcasing an example of innovative community-based mosquito control. This partnership symbolizes a shared vision of linking Asia and Africa through science, education, and sustainability reflecting Real-Ento’s mission to promote transdisciplinary and international collaboration for a healthier and more sustainable world. Dr. Kwame was one of the invited speakers during 'International workshop on insect food and feed' in July as well. Ajarn Chama took a chance to pass certificate in person!
