Knowledge Exchange on Entomological Laboratory Operations
Vector-Borne Disease Group, ODPC Region 6 (Chonburi)
On 9 January 2026, the Vector-Borne Disease Group of the Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 6 (Chonburi), Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, conducted a knowledge exchange and study visit on entomological laboratory operations.
The activity was organized in collaboration with experts from the Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University (Bang Khen Campus). Officers from Vector-Borne Disease units participated in hands-on learning and discussions covering laboratory workflows, vector insect identification, and applied entomological techniques.
This exchange aimed to strengthen laboratory standards, enhance professional skills of personnel, and support effective implementation of surveillance, prevention, and control measures for vector-borne diseases, in line with national public health strategies.
