[Seminar] Medical Entomology and Vector Research in Korea: From Lab to Global Health
By Assist. Prof. Ju-Hyeon Kim, Seoul National University
The first special talk series of 2025 was a great success, bringing together a diverse audience from academia, industry, NGOs, and government sectors. A total of 25 participants attended Prof. Ju-Hyeon Kim’s talk, gaining insights into how climate change is influencing vector-borne diseases, particularly mosquito-borne infections, in South Korea.
The audience unanimously agreed on the urgent need for research collaboration between Thailand and Korea.
Following Prof. Kim’s presentation, an engaging discussion took place, focusing on real-world challenges and community-centered interventions. Both the speaker and participants actively exchanged knowledge and ideas, making the session highly interactive and thought-provoking.
We sincerely appreciate Assist. Prof. Jirod for facilitating this session and extending a token of appreciation to Prof. Kim for sharing her expertise.
We welcome special guests who can contribute invaluable knowledge and foster future research collaborations. We hope this event marks the beginning of a strong academic relationship with Seoul National University.
Thank you for your visit and contributions to our Department of Entomology!
